How to Send WhatsApp Messages in Laravel using Twilio WhatsApp Business API

In this tutorial we learn how to send whatsapp message using Twilio WhatsApp Business API.So you need to create account in
https://www.twilio.com/whatsapp and generate your sandbox credentials.then

1)First install this packae in laravel project

composer require twilio/sdk

2) Then after installation use this in your helper file

 use Twilio\Rest\Client;

3)Then create some varible in .env file like that and put your sandbox details here

COUNTRY_CODE_FOR_CELLULAR_PHONE=
TWILIO_ACCOUNT_SID=
TWILIO_AUTH_TOKEN=

4) then create a function sendWhatsappNotification like that in your helper file.



function sendWhatsappNotification(string $reg_no, string $recipient){
        try {
            $country_code=env("COUNTRY_CODE_FOR_CELLULAR_PHONE", "+52"); 
            $twilio_whatsapp_number =$country_code.getenv("TWILIO_WHATSAPP_NUMBER");
            $account_sid = getenv("TWILIO_ACCOUNT_SID");
            $auth_token = getenv("TWILIO_AUTH_TOKEN");
            $client = new Client($account_sid, $auth_token);
            $message = Hi your registration nuber is.' '.$reg_no;
            $client->messages->create("whatsapp:$recipient", array('from' => "whatsapp:$twilio_whatsapp_number", 'body' => $message));
            return true;
        }catch(Exception $e) {
            Log::info("Exception in sendWhatsappNotification ".$e);
            return false;
        }
    }

5) Now you can use .this sendWhatsappNotification function from any controller or function inside just put the dynamic varible on function for example

  sendWhatsappNotification(223,Your Whasapp number without country code);
